I delivered my second baby with Dr. Jovanovic, 5 month ago , and choosing him was the biggest mistake of my pregnancy. I paid over $10,000 out of pocket because he did not accept my insurance, and several people recommended him. It turned out to be the worst money I have ever spent.
For that amount, you would expect exceptional, personalized care. Instead, every appointment felt like I was meeting him for the first time. He constantly struggled to remember my name, my test results, and even the basic details of my pregnancy. I never felt like he actually knew my case or cared enough to review it before walking into the room.
The office staff was equally disappointing. Multiple tests that should have been scheduled during my pregnancy were overlooked, forcing me to constantly keep track of everything myself. It was stressful and unacceptable.
But the worst part happened during my eighth month of pregnancy.
Dr. Jovanovic began pushing me toward an induction long before I wanted one. He told me that I could schedule an induction starting at 38 weeks and asked me to pick a date. I made it very clear that inducing before 40 weeks was absolutely out of the question for me. I had a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy, this was my second baby, and my first child was born naturally at 40 weeks and 5 days with no complications. I knew my body, and I wanted to give my baby the opportunity to come naturally.
Instead of respecting my wishes, he told me that he would only allow me to go until 40 weeks and 3 days.
When I explained again that I wanted to avoid induction unless there was a true medical reason, he admitted the real reason: he was leaving for vacation. He told me that 40 weeks and 3 days was the latest date because after that he would be away.
I felt pressured into making a decision based on his personal travel plans - not my baby’s well-being or my medical needs. Looking back, I deeply regret allowing myself to be pushed into that induction. It remains one of the worst decisions I have ever made, and I believe it happened because I trusted the wrong doctor.
Pregnancy and childbirth are among the most important moments in a woman’s life. Every mother deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for. Unfortunately, that was never my experience here.
If you are looking for a doctor who truly knows his patients, remembers their medical history, respects their birth preferences, and puts their needs above his own schedule, I cannot recommend Dr. Jovanovic.
I would never choose him again, and I would never recommend him to anyone I love.
I never wanted to be induced.
There was no medical reason for an induction. My pregnancy was healthy, my baby was measuring normally, and there were no complications. I clearly told Dr. Jovanovic that I wanted to go into labor naturally.
Despite my wishes, he insisted that I be induced no later than 40 weeks and 3 days because he was leaving for vacation. I felt pressured into agreeing to an induction that I never wanted.
The day of my induction completely confirmed my opinion of Dr. Jovanovic.
I arrived at the hospital at 8:00 AM, and my induction started around 9:00 AM. Labor progressed normally throughout the day.
From the moment I was admitted until I was fully dilated and ready to push, Dr. Jovanovic never came to see me even once. He never checked on my progress, never examined me during labor, and never spoke to me.
Eventually, I told the nurses that I felt the baby was coming. They examined me and confirmed that I was fully dilated but asked me to wait longer.
Dr. Jovanovic finally walked into the room only when my baby was already about to be born.
While I was actively pushing, he spent part of that time looking at his phone and typing messages. My delivery lasted about 20 minutes, meaning those were the only 20 minutes he was present during my entire labor—and even then, he was distracted by his phone.
As soon as my baby was born, he immediately picked up his things and walked toward the door. A nurse had to stop him and remind him that the instrument count had not been completed. He came back only to count the instruments and then left.
This was my entire experience with Dr. Jovanovic on the day I gave birth.
Throughout my pregnancy and delivery, he came across as detached, inattentive, and uninterested in my care. I never felt that my concerns or wishes mattered. Based on my experience, I CANNOT recommend Dr. Jovanovic.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kevin for over three years, always paying out of pocket since I don’t have insurance. I respected him and trusted him with my care. Recently, I needed a procedure that would cost over $1,000, which I couldn’t afford. I found another clinic that offered financial support, and after six months of evaluations, they confirmed I do need the procedure. Because Dr. Kevin knows my full medical history, I made an appointment to simply consult with him,just to ask whether it would be safe to wait a little longer before going through with the procedure. I had already done an ultrasound last week, so I wasn’t asking for a new exam, just a conversation.
Unfortunately, I was told that if I wanted to speak with the doctor at all, I would have to pay a full $300 consultation fee. I explained to the front desk that I wasn’t asking for a check-up, just advice from a doctor I’ve trusted for years. Still, they refused. I was shocked and very disappointed.
After years of loyalty, I expected more understanding and compassion. I understand time is valuable, but I also believe that care and trust between a doctor and patient should mean something.
I highly recommend Dr. Kevin Jovanovic!
He was my OBGYN for both pregnancies and provided exceptional care every step of the way. During my first pregnancy, his professionalism and compassion ensured a smooth and successful delivery.
For my second pregnancy, his excellent prenatal care gave me the confidence to handle an unexpected, rapid labor—even though he couldn’t make it to the hospital in time. Thanks to his preparation and the hospital team’s support, everything went smoothly.
Dr. Jovanovic is not only a skilled physician but also genuinely cares about his patients. His personal approach and attention to detail made a lasting impact, and I’ll always be grateful for his role in bringing my two children into the world.

Dr. Jovanovic is hands down one of the best doctors I have ever had. He is intelligent and kind. He answers any of my questions. I am so happy I chose him to go through my pregnancy and delivery with. I have never waited longer than 25 minutes to see him. You can always get an appointment and if in an emergency you can contact his office and he will get back to you. Every doctor should be like him!
