Marina was my massage therapist and, no exaggeration, it was easily one of the top five massages I’ve ever had. Excellent pressure, technique, and overall experience.
The spa itself is in a great NoHo location and the facilities are co-ed, which is a big plus if you want to come with a girlfriend or significant other. There’s a sauna, pool, and other areas to relax.
A few things could be improved. The sauna has wooden seating, but some of the surrounding surfaces are concrete and can get extremely hot to the touch. Adding more wood or another insulating material would make it much more comfortable. The steam room was also not working during my visit, and the spa can get fairly busy if you’re looking for a very quiet, intimate atmosphere. The men’s locker room is currently under construction as well, so the temporary men’s changing area is extremely small.
Those issues aside, I had an excellent experience overall. The massage alone was outstanding, and I would definitely come back.
I went to quite a few spas during my pregnancy for prenatal massages, but once I went to Great Jones Spa and had Evie, I honestly never went anywhere else. She is hands down the best massage therapist. She always knows exactly how much pressure to use and somehow always knows exactly where you need the most attention. I recently went back for a message postpartum and she was just as amazing, so needless to say I’m still not going anywhere else.

Enjoyed a wonderful day at this day spa. Stepping inside is such a nice escape from city life. The hot tub and sauna area was clean and relaxing with plenty of chairs for sitting and reading and enjoying the snacks and water/tea in between dips in the pools. I got a wonderful massage and a really excellent facial. Unlike some other facials which are just superficial mask applications, this one involved deep cleaning and a great mini massage. Prices are also very reasonable for what you get.
My sister and I had a wonderful time and a very relaxing spa experience at Great Jones Spa this weekend. Although the facility was undergoing renovations, it was still well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and committed to making sure guests had an enjoyable experience. My Swedish massage was excellent. I don’t come into the city often, but Great Jones Spa will definitely be at the top of my list for my next spa day in New York City.
The newly renovated locker rooms are a great update—very clean, modern, and well organized. The steam room was temporarily out of service because it's being renovated as well, which should be a nice addition once it's complete.
My massage with Tommy was excellent. I've had massages from other therapists there, but none have been as effective for deep tissue work. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a true deep tissue massage.
