I recently visited Alinea Medical Spa in NYC for treatment on my C-section scar and a PRP facial, and I honestly could not be happier with my experience and results. I’ve had PRP done at other places before, but the results I achieved at Alinea were on another level. My skin looks more even, glowing, refreshed, and healthier than ever.

I am 47, and with the regular skin treatments I’ve been getting here, people constantly tell me I look 15 years younger. The improvement in my skin texture and tone has been incredible, and the treatments have truly boosted my confidence and made me feel more beautiful in my own skin.

What makes Alinea stand out is not only their advanced treatments and expertise in lasers, acne scars, and skin rejuvenation, but also the care and attention they give each patient. Jennifer does my facials and is amazing — so knowledgeable, gentle, and professional. Dr. Ammar is also incredibly attentive and caring. Even when I’m scheduled with another provider, he always takes the time to personally come in, check my skin, and make sure everything is progressing perfectly. That level of care is rare to find.

This place truly feels like an investment in self-care and self-love. The entire team makes you feel comfortable, cared for, and confident throughout the process. I highly recommend Alinea Medical Spa to anyone looking for real results and personalized care.

I’ve been a client at this practice for over 10 years, and while Morgan has always been fantastic, I recently had the pleasure of working with Jennifer for a CO2 laser treatment. From the start, Jennifer’s professionalism stood out—she explained the process thoroughly, set realistic expectations, and ensured I felt confident every step of the way. The follow-up care was just as exceptional—she checked in after two weeks, and I’m thrilled with the results. My skin looks amazing, and I’ve already booked my next appointment! Whether it’s Morgan or Jennifer, you’re in great hands. I couldn’t recommend them enough—definitely a five-star team!

My experience with this Alinea medical spa was very disappointing.

During my virtual consultation, the representative opened a financing credit card for my treatment. However, they charged the full amount immediately, even though my first treatment appointment was still 4–5 days away.

When I arrived for my first appointment, there was a problem with the machine, and I waited for over an hour before being told the treatment couldn’t be performed. They offered me a complimentary service instead. At my second appointment, there was no doctor available, so my treatment was canceled again.

To make matters worse, I later discovered that the financing account had already been charged, meaning I was expected to start making payments even though I had not received any treatment. I called the office multiple times to have this resolved, but no one took ownership of the issue. Each time I was told someone would call me back or that it would be handled the next day, but it never was.

I eventually received my treatment about a month after my initial virtual consultation. I have no problem paying for services I receive, but I strongly believe patients should be charged when the treatment is actually provided—not weeks before, especially when delays are caused by the office itself.

I hope the management improves its billing practices and customer service so future patients don’t have to go through the same frustrating experience.

I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with Profound treatment and the entire team. As a 50+ year old male who does NOT trust just anyone to touch my face, finding this place was one of the best decisions I’ve made. From my very first procedure, I was blown away by the professionalism, care, and results and that’s exactly why I keep coming back for more.

I’ve now been going to them for months and have had multiple procedures done, and I have honestly never been disappointed once. Every single visit has exceeded my expectations. The results have been incredible, but what truly separates them from everyone else is the level of aftercare they provide. They constantly check up on you, make sure you’re healing properly, answer every question, and genuinely care that you’re doing everything you need to for the best outcome. That kind of attention and dedication is rare these days.

Dr. Ammar is absolutely phenomenal. His skill, precision, honesty, and ability to make you feel comfortable and confident are unmatched. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. I trust him completely, which says a lot coming from me.

And Jennifer, the main assistant, is simply incredible. She has been amazing throughout the entire process professional, kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and always there to help. She goes above and beyond every single time and makes the whole experience smooth and comfortable from start to finish.

If you’re considering any treatment and want a team you can genuinely trust, this is the place. The care, results, communication, and professionalism are second to none. I’m beyond grateful I found them and will absolutely continue coming back. Thank you Dr Ammar for changing my life. I will continue to recommend you to everyone male and female. Thank you to the team!!!

Dear Dr. Ammar Mahmoud,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and displeasure regarding the results of my recent procedures and the overall experience at Alinea Medical.

I invested significant resources into fillers and Botox, specifically for the tip of my nose to achieve a straighter appearance and injections around my nostrils to prevent flaring. Unfortunately, these results were never explained to me as having potential caveats. It has now been six weeks, and my top lip remains frozen and flat as well as two deep indentations on both sides of my mouth whenever I speak. This has drastically altered my appearance, causing me to look like a Marionette, and making me feel extremely self-conscious and even causing me to spit while speaking. Having had similar procedures elsewhere in the past, I have never experienced a result like this.

Furthermore, I am frustrated by the lack of professionalism regarding my time. During my first visit, after traveling from Queens, I was not seen at all. On my second visit, I waited an hour. Most recently, I was asked to arrive at 4:00 PM for a 5:00 PM appointment, only to still be waiting after 6:00 PM. While I appreciate the assistant’s offer to buy me dinner, I was simply too exhausted to continue waiting. Since then, the communication regarding my follow-up has felt generic and disingenuous.

I am sharing this experience in the hope that it highlights the need for better professionalism and courtesy regarding patient care and scheduling.
