I had a very disappointing experience with this business. It is extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone, as my calls frequently went unanswered. On one occasion when someone did answer, I politely asked if they could hold for a moment, but the call was disconnected. When I was finally able to speak with a staff member named Dorothy, I asked for her supervisor’s name. She told me it was Annie. When I asked for their last initials to better identify who I was speaking with, she refused to provide them and became rude during the conversation. Based on my experience, the customer service at this facility was unprofessional and disappointing. I cannot recommend this business to others until significant improvements are made in how customers are treated.

Horrible experience! SCAMMERS
Esthetician was burping and making gross noises as she was giving the facial. And was talking and fussing around while giving the facial.

Upon walking in I had asked if they did microneedling and they said yes we do “micro derm abrasion” (which I thought was her just rephrasing what I said, but ask the service was being completed I noticed it was not what I asked for and spoke up about it. They continued to say that it has the same benefits as microneedling even though the service was NOTHING similar as all they were doing was sucking the skin with a machine, nothing to do with removal of scars.

Horrible customer service.

Good value for the money! I have been coming here since pre-covid for facials and this place give consistent good service especially for the price paid. Easy to make appointment and as painful as extraction part is as part of your facial, it is needed and good for you. I was most impressed by how knowledgeable the staffs are - just one touch and they know what I’ve been doing right/wrong with my skin without telling them. I also like how I was never pressure to buy a service I dont want to. Convenient location near the subway! Don’t let the appearance from outside street level trick you and compromise your impression of quality of this place.

Essential Day Spa is the only place I will permit anyone to touch my skin. I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years and I highly recommend. Milo has magic hands!

I had a generally good experience at this spa. The service itself was good and I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. The staff did try to upsell additional services, but it wasn’t overly pushy, so it didn’t take away too much from the experience.

That said, the atmosphere could use some improvement. It felt a bit on the tacky side rather than calming or luxurious, which is something I usually look for in a spa. While everything seemed clean enough, the space wasn’t particularly tidy, and that slightly affected the overall impression.

One small but important detail—the treatment bed was a bit chilly. A warmer bed would have made the experience much more comfortable and relaxing.
